Eintracht has a chance to make it to the Champions League, yet the feeling around the team is similar to that of a relegated club.

Marc Schmidt's commentary in BILD - What frustrates me greatly about Eintracht!

Sure thing. Eintracht Frankfurt's sports director, Markus Krösche, has committed errors in over a hundred transfer deals over the past three years. Whether players like Hrvoje Smolcic or Donny van de Beek truly aided the traditional German club in its progression is debatable. As the only elite side, Frankfurt also failed to secure a consistent striker for far too long.

Moreover, Dino Toppmöller, in his initial season as a Bundesliga coach at Eintracht, did not get everything right during his first year. At certain instances, the overburdening of players with tactics and unnecessary alterations during injury time gave away points, particularly at the onset of the second half of the season. He's yet to demonstrate a firm presence on the sidelines as well.

To me, what's particularly aggravating about Frankfurt this season are the amateurish blunders, unprofessionalism, and the torpidity of several players at the outset, which persisted throughout the season. It resurfaced again on Saturday during their 0:1 loss to Borussia Mönchengladbach. Here, Junior Dina Ebimbe's mind was obviously wandering in the ninth minute after a long clearance from Omlin; he was preoccupied off the pitch during a tussle with Scally. Thankfully, Ebimbe salvaged the 1:1 with a goal.

To summarize, the up-and-coming campaign must put a stop to the parade of errors. Additionally, it's high time to curtail the bothersome cross-pass soccer that frequently ensues following four sequential misdirected passes. There should be no more players (Nkounkou, Ebimbe, Chaïbi) risking dismissal within the first thirty minutes due to careless fouls.

The fans, along with the upper management, yearn for an advancement to the combative attitude that once catapulted Eintracht to European acclaim. They yearn for players displaying intensity in challenges, commanding leaders deserving of their nicknames, and decisive passes at the Bundesliga level.

Ultimately, once Eintracht rediscovers their determination and quickness, they will revert to the ambiance that made them renowned throughout the continent.
