Opposing Bochum in the Weser Stadium - Werder Bremen salutes its two-time heroes.
Werder has invited 17 former stars to the stadium, including Ailton (50), Johan Micoud (50), and coach Thomas Schaaf (63). Paul Stalteri (46), who serves as Toronto FC's assistant coach, will be making the journey to the Weserstadion from Canada.
The club is planning a celebration of their amazing team during the matchday program, so it's a good idea to arrive early. The game is set to begin a little after 3 p.m.
During the event, stadium announcer Arnd Zeigler (58) will interview the ex-players while famous moments from the 2003/04 season will be displayed on the stadium's screens.
If Werder wins their final match against Bochum and their rivals secure a win for Bremen, there's a possibility that the double winners may once again be involved in an exciting milestone. This time, however, it would be a trip to Europe.
