Yet another youthful talent emerges. - Werder Bremen pursues Borussia Dortmund's pro
Seems like Werder Bremen is making a statement with their new approach to transfers.
The latest exciting young player linked with the Bremen team is a central midfielder who hasn't seen much action at Borussia Dortmund. He hasn't played in the Bundesliga this season, with his only appearance being a 31-minute stint against Heidenheim in February. He has only made the squad four times.
The player is currently on loan at a third division team, where Werder standout Justin Njinmah (23) also played before returning to Bremen last summer. Pohlmann is eager for more opportunities, just like his pal.
Playing time at Werder could be better than at Dortmund, with more chances to shine in the first division. However, he'll face competition, just like Danish prospect Albert Grønbæk (22), also highly sought after by Werder. Clubs in the 2. Bundesliga, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, and the Netherlands may also be interested.
Pohlmann has a deal with Dortmund until 2025, so a transfer would involve a fee. His worth is estimated at a million euros on transfermarkt.de.
