One hasn't been (added) yet. - Werder bids farewell to these athletes.

Before their last home game of the season, the Werder Bremen team said their goodbyes. Frank Baumann (48), who's been with the club for nearly 25 years, received thanks for his dedication. He's a double captain and managing director, and his departure is bittersweet.

A heartfelt speech, some beautiful flowers, and a cool collage were given to the players who won't be getting new contracts. This includes Christian Groß, Jiri Pavlenka, and Nick Woltemade.

Pavlenka, who has been at Werder for seven years, won't get a proper goodbye game like some suggested. Coach Ole Werner explains, "He certainly deserves a proper farewell. But we hope to make this good season into an outstanding one. From the coach's perspective, we need to send out the team that we think has the best chance of winning. So, Zetti will be in goal."

Skelly Alvero, a loan player who's back after an injury, might not be leaving. There's still a conversation happening with their regular club, Lyon, over a possible transfer.
