DHB prominent figure and Monja bask in newborn cheer - Weber experiences fatherhood for the first time
Monja has a daughter named Mila from a past partnership, who Weber fondly refers to as "my little one." Whenever he talks about Mila, it's evident how much he cherishes being a father.
Weber has found his perfect match in Monja. The accomplished handball player is usually tight-lipped about his personal affairs, but in the festive season, he made a heartwarming statement of affection for his girlfriend. He posted a photo of them standing in front of a Christmas tree in Magdeburg with the touching hashtags #teamweber #loveofmylife.
While his personal life is thriving, Weber's sporting journey has had its ups and downs. He will no longer be a candidate for the DHB team after the European Championships and will primarily be relegated to the bench at SC Magdeburg.
The causes: Since his knee injury at the Club World Cup in November 2023, Weber can no longer outshine Icelanders Gisli Kristjansson (24) and Janus Smarason (29), as well as Sweden star Felix Claar (27), in the half-left position. Although Weber remains a key player and is well-respected within the team, it's clear he has different objectives.
Weber's contract with Magdeburg runs until June 30, 2028, and there have been whispers that Telekom Veszprém from Hungary is eyeing the SCM star. During their game against Balingen (43:29), Weber was given more playing time and displayed two goals and two assists.
It's going to be intriguing to see how much game time Weber gets against his former team Leipzig (2013-2016) in the East derby on Sunday (4 pm).
