Illegal Activity - Warant sought for murder charge involving four deaths
Recently, a public prosecutor's office formally requested an additional arrest warrant for the suspect currently held in custody. This news stems from a report to the state parliament at the request of the SPD parliamentary group. This application concerns charges of murder, attempted murder, and severely punishable arson that leads to death. Since April 18th, the suspect has been subject to an arrest warrant for attempted manslaughter over a machete attack.
The fire incident on March 25th resulted in the death of four individuals in an attic apartment. Law enforcers under scrutiny suspect a previous tenant who was part of the building's rear dwelling. The landlady had cut ties with this tenant, resulting in a legal dispute. The suspect's whereabouts were tracked by investigators using surveillance footage from the evening of the incident.
The suspect denies the allegations. On March 25th, a Bulgarian family living on the upper floor lost their lives as they couldn't escape from the inferno – the couple, aged 28 and 29, and their two daughters aged three and a few months old perished.
On the same day as the fire incident, the 39-year-old man supposedly attempted to take the life of another individual. According to investigators, he attacked a 44-year-old man with a machete, severely injuring him. This aggressive act is reported to have featured four scalping attempts. The attack supposedly occured after an intense argument. The men had been acquainted for 14 years.
