Villa Harrah Lake Tahoe Mansion listed for $19.5 million, but only 50% offered
Villa Harrah, the former lakefront mansion of William F. Harrah, whose namesake casino company remains one of the most recognizable names in the U.S. gambling industry, is back on the market. Something like that.
Built in 1963, Harrah's former wilderness retreat overlooks Lake Tahoe, Nevada and is located at 1028 Skyland Drive in Zephyr Cove. The site is only 0.6 hectares in size but has over 18,500 square meters of living space. It has eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms and four toilets. Last week, Compass Real Estate announced Villa Harrah’s return to the real estate market. But unlike when it was listed in 2019, the home is now seeking a buyer for a 50% stake in the property.

Two Seasons
Lake Tahoe has two busy seasons, peak season is usually summer from June to August and winter from December to March.
As the weather warms up, so do the beach bums. In July and August, the shores of Lake Tahoe are dotted with oversized umbrellas and children soaking up the sun. U.S. News & World Report concluded in its 2023 guide: “There will be a brief pause in fall travel, but as temperatures drop, visitors will return with skis in hand and ready to tackle powder.”
Air travelers departing from Lake Tahoe typically use Reno/Tahoe International Airport, located approximately 50 miles northeast of Zephyr Bay.
