Venetian Las Vegas is undertaking renovations to its convention center.
The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is going through an $188 million makeover for its convention center, with design firm Woogmaster Studio handling the job. Woogmaster is also busy revamping the resort's pool area.
Notable changes to the Venetian Expo and Convention Center, which used to be known as Sands Expo, include modern technology, cozy gathering spaces for meetings, and a sleek color scheme of cream, white, and platinum.
Modernizing a convention center that plays host to back-to-back events on a regular basis is no mean feat, but the Venetian's president and CEO Patrick Nichols has promised to deliver top-notch experiences for their guests, as stated in a press release.
Newly designed lounge areas sporting wood, marble, and velvet, tailored for invite-only events, will be part of the refreshed center.
Additionally, the installation of dazzling Murano glass chandeliers, smooth brass sconces, and upgraded audio-visual equipment like cutting-edge digital screens is planned.
Nichols' statement explained that the choices in finishes and amenities were specifically selected based on client feedback to help reintroduce a new age of Venetian meetings while remaining at the top of the industry.
This redesign is slated to be completed in planned stages, starting in 2024 and wrapping up in 2026.
This renovation is just one piece of a larger $1 billion capital investment initiative by Vici Properties, which controls the Strip property, and New York-based Apollo Global Management, which operates the resort.
