As a 20-year-old, Morgan Wallen competed on Season 6 of “The Voice” in 2014. However, he wasn’t on Blake Shelton’s team. Shelton later said: “Now here he is having these gigantic, huge number-one hits, and I can’t take any of the credit. It’s like, ‘I had him right there and he got away.’”

Restaurant News: Morgan Wallen Launches Ole Red Duplicate, Final Edition for Holsteins at Cosmo

Blake Shelton isn't the only country star venturing into the restaurant and bar business any longer. Morgan Wallen, known as "the biggest country star of the 2020s" by the New York Times, is opening what appears to be the second location of This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen in Las Vegas.

As mentioned on Wallen's own website, the first This Bar in Nashville is set to open this summer as a sprawling six-story, 30,000 square-foot establishment featuring a bar, restaurant, and live music venue. This seems strikingly similar to the four-story, 27,000-foot Ole Red, which Shelton unveiled in January at the Grand Bazaar Shops in front of Horseshoe Las Vegas.

Wallen's second This Bar, as per a Las Vegas Review-Journal report, will be a more modest 10,000 square feet and occupy spaces on the second and third floors of a 63 Las Vegas shopping mall, with Ocean Prime located above it on the rooftop. He is partnering on this venture with TC Restaurant Group.

The Review-Journal also mentioned a building permit application for a $9.75 million "Vegas Country Music Restaurant" at this location, complete with an "ellipse rooftop balcony" joining the establishment.

Dining News

The Cosmopolitan's Holsteins burger restaurant, which has been around since the casino's 2010 opening, is rumored to be closing this summer, according to Vital Vegas blogger Scott Roeben, who received this information from an anonymous source. Apparently, this restaurant was also affected by MGM Resorts' recent management shakeup, and its space will soon be handed over to Clique Hospitality.

Following our August report of Bojangles' plans to build 20 outlets in Las Vegas, we think the first one might open at the Diamond Plaza retail center, at the crossroads of South Rainbow Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road, approximately 10 miles southwest of The Strip. This franchise has expanded from its 1977 roots in Charlotte, NC to 800 locations across 15 states and was formerly known as Bojangles' Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits.

The El Herradero Nightclub, at 3402 E. Lake Mead Blvd. in North Las Vegas, was recently shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District on April 17.

Holsteins opened along with the Cosmopolitan in December 2010 and, rumor has it, will close this summer.
