VEGAS RESTAURANT ROUNDUP: Fiola Mare for the Wynn, Lakeside Goes Under, Korean Fave Meets Sad & Sudden End
Early next year, Wynn Las Vegas will debut Fiola Mare, a high-end Mediterranean seafood restaurant from Chef Fabio Trabocchi.
“Since moving to the US in 2000 from Le Marche, Italy, I’ve dreamt of having a restaurant in Las Vegas,” Trabocchi said in a statement. “I couldn’t be prouder than to partner with an iconic destination as Wynn Las Vegas, who is the perfect complement to our hospitality group.”
Fiola Mare’s menu will feature seafood sourced from the Mediterranean and East and West Coast of the US. A seafood cart will offer multiple daily catch options.
Fiola Mare will replace Lakeside, the seafood restaurant that opened with the Wynn in 2005, and inherit its view of the Lake of Dreams. Lakeside will permanently close in mid-July.
Dynamite Implodes
Dynamite Korean Street Food and Sushi, a beloved off-Strip eatery in Silverado Ranch that once went viral on TikTok, closed its doors on July 7.
According to a TikTok video from owner Steve Park, he’s “no longer able to operate the shop to its full potential” because his father, Jong Park, ultimately succumbed to the cancer he’d been battling for two years, and his mother developed serious health issues as well.
“This dream wouldn’t have been possible without you guys,” Steve told his many fans.
Dynamite went viral when TikTok star Keith Lee offered to treat the first 300 customers on New Year’s Eve 2023. The line snaked around the building.
