Vegas Music Summary: Usher Leaves, Minogue Sells Out (Yet Again)
Usher has revealed what he claims to be the last twelve concerts of his Las Vegas residency. This final leg will take place from November 3rd to December 2nd at Dolby Live at Park MGM, where he has been performing since July 2022.
Prior to this, Usher began his Vegas residency in July 2020 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, but switched both venues and hotel chains, which is uncommon on the Strip.
His performances in Las Vegas have been filled with hit songs like "My Boo" and "OMG", as well as memorable social media moments, such as serenading Issa Rae and Kim Kardashian. Additionally, his duet with Keke Palmer on "There Goes My Baby" also made headlines when Palmer's revealing dress received criticism from Darius Jackson, her then-boyfriend.
The artist's final twelve shows are scheduled for November 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 22nd, 24th, 25th, and 29th, as well as December 1st and 2nd.
Tickets for these performances will be available from 10 a.m., Friday, August 25th. MGM Rewards members can access a pre-sale starting today.
Breathtaking Schedule
The festival "Life is Beautiful" has announced the schedules for its upcoming three-day music and arts event in downtown Las Vegas. The Downtown Stage will be occupied at 11:30 pm on Friday, September 22nd by The Killers, 11:40 pm on Saturday, September 23rd by Kendrick Lamar, and 11:25 pm on Sunday, September 24th by Odesza.
Other famous performers at this year's event include The 1975, FLUME, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Kim Petras.
Genius Ticketing Strategy
The individual who decided to sell tickets for Kylie Minogue's first Las Vegas residency in groups of ten at a time is a true marketing genius.
The 55-year-old singer will play a total of twenty dates at the newly opened Voltaire at the Venetian between November 3rd, 2023 and May 4th, 2024. With a capacity of only 1,000 fans, this will be one of Minogue's most intimate shows in over a decade.
The Australian icon quickly sold out of regular seats, which cost $200, during both ticket sales, leaving only table and travel packages with hotel and VIP amenities, starting at $3,250 per person.
It's expected that a third set of ten dates will be added soon.
