Vegas Music Roundup: Sphere Features Harry, Journey, and SEMA Fest
Harry Styles is the third artist rumored to perform at The Sphere after U2 and the Eagles. As per a report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Styles could kick off his residency at the venue in March 2024. This speculation arises as all three artists are managed by Irving Azoff, a music tycoon who is also a paid Sphere consultant responsible for finding talent for the venue.
What's interesting is that Azoff is part-owner of the Oak View Group, which plans to create a $10 billion resort with a $1 billion basketball-ready arena just three miles away from the Strip. However, it seems he has managed to juggle his roles effectively.
Phish is also in the reckoning as their frontman Trey Anastasio was the first to try out The Sphere's immersive audio system during an acoustic set at New York's Beacon Theatre in August 2022.
Meanwhile, Journey will perform at the Michelob Ultra Arena within Mandalay Bay on March 15. Tickets, priced between $35-$149.50, will be available from September 29 (10 a.m.), with a venue presale starting on September 28 (10 a.m.) using the password 'FAITHFULLY.'
Morgan Wallen brings his 'One Night at a Time' tour to Allegiant Stadium on August 8, 2024, with Jelly Roll, Nate Smith, and Ella Langley as supporting artists. Register for a presale until October 1.
The SEMA Fest, a music festival for car enthusiasts, has revealed its first artists. They will grace the Las Vegas Festival Grounds stage on November 3-4.
Friday's lineup boasts Incubus at the helm, along with Wiz Khalifa, Third Eye Blind, Bush, and Ludacris. Meanwhile, AJR, Walk the Moon, The Struts, Badflower, and Meg Meyers lead Saturday's bill. Tickets, starting from $119, can be purchased at semafest.com.
