Vegas Music Roundup: Miranda & U2 Announce New Final Residency Dates, Free Nelly/TLC Show

Country star Miranda Lambert has announced the final nine shows of her Velvet Rodeo residency. The opening will take place in September 2022 at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood and now closes on April 6th.

“Living in Las Vegas is a creative change for someone who has lived on a bus most of his life, traveling from city to city,” Lambert, 40, said in a statement. ” “The band and I are excited to keep this party going!”

Lambert's final dates in Vegas are now March 20, 33, 23, 27, 29 and 30 and April 3, 5 and 6.

Tickets for the added show will go on sale through Ticketmaster starting Friday, December 8 at 10am PT. Fan club members can start pre-sale on Tuesday, December 5 at 10am PT.

U2 makes it an even number 40

U2 also added a new finish line to its "U2:UV" station, the Sphere behind the Venetian. The series now ends on February 23-24 and March 1-2.

This brings the total number of shows to 40, and die-hard fans will recognize the song as the closing number for most of the Irish band's concerts in the 1980s.

Tickets for the final four shows are now available to U2.com subscribers. General presale will begin on December 8th at 11am PST via Ticketmaster.

Wow Nelly (and TLC), free show!

Nelly and TLC will welcome fans to Las Vegas on Thursday, December 7 for the inaugural NBA Season Semifinals and Championship Game.

The Grammy winner will perform between the two semifinals at Toshiba Plaza in front of T-Mobile Arena. Their performance will be taped as part of TNT's new reality TV competition, "The Sum: All-Star Music Battle."
