A kid unexpectedly developed a severe illness. - US Air Force performs cruise ship rescue, saving 12-year-old Aiden.

A young boy named Aiden fell gravely ill while on board the Carnival Venezia, a cruise ship with a capacity of over 4,000 passengers, on its way from the Caribbean to New York. This occurred approximately 650 kilometers off the coast of North Carolina. Medical professionals on board examined the boy and determined that he was suffering from a ruptured bowel, which required immediate emergency attention.

However, reaching land in just 17 hours was impractical. The captain contacted the United States Air Force, and in response, two helicopters equipped with medical personnel took flight. To ensure their helicopters didn't run out of fuel, the Air Force dispatched two additional transport planes to refuel the choppers over the Atlantic.

To expedite the process, the cruise ship altered course to intercept the rescue team. Using a winching system, Aiden and his mother were safely lifted off the ship and flown directly to the hospital. A passenger present during the rescue shared their reaction, "Once they were back on solid ground, the entire ship erupted in cheers and shouts of praise."

Later, the US Air Force expressed satisfaction with the timely and smooth rescue operation. Lieutenant Colonel Dave Underwood shared his thoughts with ABC News, "The remarkable thing about this rescue was how effortlessly it unfolded. The injured boy was hospitalized within a few hours."

Aiden is currently healing at the hospital; details regarding the procedures that saved his life have not been disclosed. His mother, Angela, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the rescuers and medical staff saying, "I am so thankful to everyone involved in helping my son through this ordeal."
