US acclaimed writer Paul Auster passes away at 77, as per news reports.
Auster has penned down over 30 books, which have been translated into more than 40 languages and are primarily based in New York. It was in 1982 that he gained prominence with his remarkable memoir, "The Invention of Loneliness," detailing his father's life. His worldwide acclaim is also due to his "New York Trilogy" and the novel "Leviathan."
