Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR) started cleaning up early in the morning on May Day, tackling the mess left behind by celebrators and protesters. Over 150 workers and 45 vehicles have been working since around 2 a.m., as per a post on the online platform X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday. The primary focus areas were Oranienstraße, Skalitzer Straße, and Kottbuser Platz. As of now, they have gathered 110 cubic meters of garbage, which is slightly less than in the previous year (125 cubic meters).

The cleanup efforts were still ongoing at Görlitzer Park, where a large crowd celebrated during the night, according to a spokesperson. According to BSR, they employed sweepers, loading crane vehicles, and trash collection trucks for this task.
