A handyman is currently advertising an Apple Watch in the "construction foam" edition on classifieds - a distinctive piece that he accidentally created himself on the job and now wants to sell as an "exclusive, artistic design".
Totally bonkers or ingenious? Considering nearly 3,500 people in Germany have already expressed interest in it - and it's not the only unusual ad around...
Business idea after "two hours of self-pity"
The construction worker from Morschen (Hesse) is shamelessly truthful about how his creation came into existence: "As I'm trying to wrap up something that I'd been putting off, a can of construction foam suddenly whizzes past my ears," says the vendor, Daniel C. "After about two hours of feeling down, I decided to part with my bracelet."
If you're a fan of the "ice sea blue foam effect", you can also request other gaffes - er, unique items - to be delivered. The stained T-shirt is also available to match the style.
Three perfectly round nuggets are worth 100 euros
A McDonald's customer from Bremen had an equally imaginative notion when they found three "perfectly round" nuggets in their chicken nuggets packet. "I'm still extremely proud of this discovery," boasts the seller.
For 100 euros, however, potential buyers lost their hunger.
Salable half car for half the price
The "half Audi A3", which was posted online in Suhl (Thuringia) in February, certainly has potential: Driving it will be quite a challenge, but individual car parts can still be used or resold.
The backstory of how the silver car came to be so neatly halved is unknown. For a very affordable 950 euros, it was ready for collection (but not ready to roll off).
Airlines could save money with these headphones
"Are you a real gangster and only walk around with an AirPod?" asked a rogue from Giessen (Hesse), offering an ailing right earbud. "Who cares, that's the cool side anyway," argued the seller. The charging cable was also damaged beyond repair, leaving customers with a warning: "You son of a bitch". Even for gangsters, these 40 euros were a blatant rip-off!
Free snow for pickup only
This ad went viral quickly: in winter, when it heavily snowed in Nassenfels (Bavaria) - how fitting - someone simply wanted to offload the white carpet in front of their house and provided it for free.
"Cold white color with brownish inclusions," the product description stated. Larger quantities were available "upon request", but not for long. Important note: "No shipping, no delivery." Did someone really come with a snow shovel? Truly mysterious!
