Alabama's Current Situation - Union responds to Mercedes' victory in the US
The United Auto Workers (UAW) claimed on Friday that the car giant Mercedes took unlawful action against union representation, according to a financial news outlet. In response, Mercedes stressed that the voting process was confidential and supervised by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). "We're disappointed that the UAW doesn't recognize this decision," the company said.
Recently, the UAW has gained momentum due to the successful strikes it organized at General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis, resulting in improved employment conditions and a 25% salary hike.
