Will he remain or depart from here? - Undav reveals his affection for VfB.
There's a question mark on whether Deniz Undav (27) will still be netting goals for VfB Stuttgart in the upcoming season. Stuttgart have an option worth approximately €20 million to buy the striker (19 goals this season) from Brighton & Hove Albion. But the overall cost, which includes the transfer fee and a potential salary hike (up to €5 million per year), is a bit too much for Stuttgart to afford.
So, Stuttgart is now trying to lower the value of the purchase option. It's still unclear whether they'll reach a deal with the English club. A swift conclusion to the talks seems unlikely.
Following Stuttgart's 1-0 victory against Augsburg on Friday, Undav expressed his delight, saying, "The fans and this club are amazing. I adore the fans, I love everyone here. I want to play here. I get along with everyone and have developed something special for myself here. My dream is to compete in the Champions League."
