Good grief! What a craziness!
The incredible Bayer 04 Leverkusen, the German champions of the 2023/2024 season, prevailed with a 2:1 victory over Augsburg in the final Bundesliga match of the season. This stunning achievement marked their unbeaten run of 51 competitive matches in a row.
No other team in the Bundesliga has achieved such a feat before them, not even the brilliant FC Bayern.
Coach Xabi Alonso (42), announced the day before the game, "It could be historic to remain unbeaten. I believe that tomorrow will be our first final."
And so did his team show just how invincible they are from the get-go. Leverkusen celebrate in style against Augsburg, with their fans creating an electric atmosphere from the outset.

No one could better encapsulate this extraordinary accomplishment than the triumphant fans chanting, "Undefeated champions, SVB".
Bayer amassed 90 points, 28 wins, and six draws this season, showcasing a remarkable display of consistency and skill. Their next challenge will be in Dublin as they face Atalanta Bergamo in the Euro League final on Wednesday (May 22), followed by a DFB Cup final against Kaiserslautern in Berlin on Saturday (May 25), where they can complete the season with the unprecedented treble of championship, cup, and Euro League.
