Shocking news: Annalena Baerbock (43), a member of the Green Party, makes a surprise visit to Ukraine! She arrived in Kiev on Tuesday morning.

Baerbock hinted at further aid for Ukraine.
She concurred with Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (64), an SPD member, and Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (53), also from the SPD, that Germany required a "security budget." This dire situation must be "reflected accordingly in the budget," said Baerbock. "That means we need to allocate the funds for Ukraine." The safety of Poland and Germany is also at risk. This necessitates "a lot, a lot of money."
Baerbock made it evident: "I don't believe anyone can justify arguing that we weren't prepared to spend billions more for peace at the time. And it ultimately resulted in this Russian war of aggression growing further in Europe."
Discord over Taurus deliveries
The German government is in agreement about Taurus deliveries. "It is common knowledge that I have my own opinion on this, as does the Chancellor, and we each have different opinions in the cabinet," clarified Baerbock. "We are three parties in the government, and we must reach a unanimous decision."

Regarding the demise of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Baerbock remarked: "My solidarity is with the people of Iran and, most importantly, the women of Iran. They do not share their pain with their loved ones."
Vague answer about Netanyahu's potential arrest in Germany.
Baerbock also expressed her views on the latest action by the Criminal Court, which is reviewing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. However, she evaded offering a clear stance on whether Netanyahu would be arrested in Germany - should the arrest warrant be issued.
Baerbock: "We've always supported the International Criminal Court as a government - the Chancellery has made this clear, and we at the Federal Foreign Office have made it clear. We value the independence of the courts. We can't favor one court over another."
Nevertheless, the Federal Government also emphasized that "the simultaneity of the charges (...) has created the mistaken belief that there is an equivalence here. We as the Federal Government have emphatically refuted this."
