UFC and AGA working together.

The American martial arts league UFC, famous for its epic mixed martial arts events, has joined forces with the AGA (American Gaming Association) in a campaign promoting responsible sports betting. They've signed the AGA Betting Code, alongside sports leagues like NHL, Nascar, and PGA Tour. Expect a range of promotional activities as part of this partnership.

Raising Awareness on Responsible Sports Betting

The UFC has joined the AGA's 'Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly!' campaign, which was initiated in 2019, to spread awareness about the potential risks of gambling. This campaign is now being endorsed by popular sports leagues, like NHL, Nascar, and PGA Tour. Its primary purpose is to caution against the dangers of betting.

The UFC's collaboration with AGA will involve utilizing its in-stadium, digital, and broadcast platforms and offering UFC-branded educational materials. Dana White, UFC's president, says the partnership is crucial since fans are passionate about betting on their matches. The UFC takes pride in working with AGA, America's biggest gambling association.

Bill Miller, AGA's president, stated that the betting market in the US is evolving swiftly, setting a new record in August 2020. In light of this, it's evident that sports leagues recognize the need to educate their fans about the perks but also potential risks of sports betting. He's gratified to have the Have a Game Plan campaign reinforced by the UFC.

The UFC was established in 1993, has over two decades of history, and dominates the MMA arena. The company is led by Zuffa LLC, a US sports distributor from Las Vegas. The UFC has been a pioneer in adding glamour to MMA, competing with sports giants like NBA and NFL.

UFC's Agreement with DraftKings

This collaboration with AGA was announced after the UFC sealed a history-making betting and DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) deal with DraftKings. DraftKings can now use UFC's logos, names, and rankings. This is the UFC's first ever exclusive betting partnership.

DraftKings will feature on the Octagon canvas at selected UFC events in Las Vegas. They'll also provide a range of free-to-play games, enlarged prop betting and other sports gambling options. More importantly, they'll offer a $10,000 free-to-play pool access before UFC Fight Nights.

DraftKings has been named the official presenting partner of the UFC Fight Clock, a groundbreaking timing system in UFC competitions. It will be displayed during each event to keep fans informed about the time remaining in each round.

UFC President Dana White believes this deal with DraftKings is a massive milestone. He describes DraftKings as innovative and currently the most popular option for betting and DFS. White is positive that fans and players will benefit from this partnership since the UFC doesn't take breaks or seasons.

DraftKings Co-CEO, Jason Robins, mirrors White's views. He emphasizes that the UFC is playing a significant role in the sports betting vertical, experiencing immense growth.

UFC's Pact with Stake.com

Expanding its influence in Asia and Latin America, UFC has forged a connection with the cryptocurrency-centric operator Stake.com. They're the first authorized betting partner for UFC in these regions, save for Brazil, where legislation is still being discussed.

The purpose of the agreement is to give UFC fans in Asia and Latin America more varied wagering options, enhanced by social features. Nick Smith, UFC's Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships, shares excitement about collaborating with Stake.com, as it's a revolutionary way for fans to engage and enjoy the UFC experience.

Milan Jovancevic, Stake's Public Relations specialist, also expressed enthusiasm, highlighting that Stake employees are avid UFC fans, thus contributing to a fluid expansion of their brand. It's unclear if more UFC sports betting deals await the future.
