Klopp is among those departing. - Two stars are departing from Liverpool.
Not just Jürgen Klopp is bidding farewell to Liverpool Football Club.
As the players' time at the club comes to an end, they receive recognition from the club management, with gratitude exchanged and farewell notes shared. The fans bid goodbye to the players on their last journey through Anfield Road.
Thiago, the former Bayern Munich player who moved to Liverpool for a fee of 22 million in 2020, officially parted ways with the club. He expressed his gratitude through social media, stating, "I am thankful for being a part of this city, this club, and this community. (...) The past four years have been a learning experience for me and my family. The wins and losses have added to it, but it has undeniably been a life-altering journey."
It is yet unknown which club Thiago will join next. Reports suggest Spanish side FC Girona has expressed interest in him.
Thiago's last season with Liverpool was difficult as he only made one appearance due to injury. Klopp had praised, "Injuries were frustrating for him and us as well, but the level at which he played when he was available was fantastic. I will always remember that."
Another former player, Joel Matip from Schalke, is also leaving the Reds. His contract was not extended as he tore his cruciate ligament in the previous season. Matip, who played in Liverpool for eight years, was one of Jürgen Klopp's first signings. Recruited on a free transfer from Schalke 04 in 2016, Matip has played 201 competitive matches for the Reds. His future plans remain uncertain at this time.
