Tragic crash in Saxony. - Two deaths occur in accident involving a tree on a federal roadway.
A guy was behind the wheel of an Opel Astra, traveling from Dresden to Meißen in Saxony. For reasons unknown, he veered off course in a turn near Scharfenberg and smashed into a tree.
The driver was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. The front seat passenger and a lady in the car didn't make it, their identities are still unconfirmed.
The Road Traffic Accident Investigation Authority has kicked off an inquiry into the severe accident, collaborating with experts. To carry out the investigation and recover the car, the major highway had to be completely shut down.
