Apprehended: The Subject is Detained - Tuchel manager chuckles in Bayern's office.
Following Monday's gathering of the influential supervisory board featuring Herbert Hainer (69), Uli Hoeneß (72), and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (68), Tuchel's employment status is once again a hot topic.
As his manager, Olaf Meinking, stepped out of his office on the training grounds alongside sports director, Christoph Freund (46), they both wore smiles, seemingly content. Tuchel was conducting the morning session with the team at the same time.
An obvious hint that the departure was imminent: Jan-Christian Dreesen (56) was also present at the meeting, as seen in the background.
Tuchel's position in the Bayern office!
Meinking has been a familiar face at Allianz Arena's home games. He accompanies the coach out onto the field during almost every game. However, his visit to Säbener Straße was an unusual one. This is a solid indication that Tuchel's exit was in the works.
The truth is that both parties are open to giving it another shot. The topic of extending past the 2025 contract is also up for discussion. Tuchel does not want to be a placeholder if a more desired coach like Jürgen Klopp (56/retired after leaving Liverpool) unexpectedly becomes available.
If they wish for Tuchel to remain despite his temporary dismissal, the Bayern leaders must firmly commit to a future with him.
