Trump Promises to Halt Third World War during Nevada Campaign Event

Donald Trump attended the Republican Jewish Coalition's (RJC) Annual Leadership Summit in Las Vegas last weekend.

This organization strives to strengthen ties between the US Jewish community and Republican decision-makers in Washington DC and throughout the country. They are involved in political campaigns and their annual summit often draws major politicians and candidates seeking their support.

Several potential Republican presidential candidates for 2024 were present at this event, with Trump highlighting the lineup. During his speech on Saturday night, he emphasized the importance of the US's continued support for Israel.

Trump declared his love for Israel repeatedly, causing the audience of 1,500 people to cheer.

The former US President also asserted that the November 2022 election is crucial for preventing a potential third world war. At present, there are two ongoing conflicts: Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Hamas's attack on Israel. The US is assisting both Ukraine and Israel in these battles.

Averting a Third World War

Trump stated in his RJC speech that he is well-equipped to prevent further escalation of these wars.

"I love Israel," Trump emphasized several times. These statements generated significant applause.

Trump believes that if he becomes president again, he can prevent World War III.

"Under my presidency, our country was both feared and respected. China and Russia respected us. I will do everything in my power to prevent World War III if you choose me," Trump announced. "I promise you: we will restore peace through strength."

He is currently the favorite to win the Republican Party nomination for the third consecutive presidential race, according to PredictIt bettors, who place his chances at 70%.

Former South Carolina Governor and US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley comes in second with a 14% implied chance, followed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at 11%.

Earlier in the evening, Haley criticized Trump for his divisive language and the "very smart" comment he made about the militant group Hezbollah.

"Eight years ago, it was good to have a leader who broke things," Haley commented on Trump. "However, we need a leader who can also fix things now."

The Adelson Connection

The RJC is home to numerous prominent figures in the US Jewish community, but no philanthropist has as much weight when it comes to political funding as Miriam Adelson.

Widow of Sheldon Adelson, who founded Las Vegas Sands, built The Venetian and Palazzo resorts, and significantly impacted Macau's gaming industry, she provided over $524 million to Republican PACs, committees, and candidates between 2011 and 2020.

Adelson was on the RJC board of directors, and her husband's legacy persists. She continues to support the RJC and Jewish causes. She also owns Israel Hayom, where she writes op-eds regularly.

Adelson has made it clear that she won't intervene in the primary process but will direct her funds to the party's nominee. Trump reportedly had a private dinner with Adelson at The Venetian during his visit.

Trump acknowledged Adelson at the beginning of his RJC speech.

"I want to thank Miriam Adelson," Trump said to a thunderous ovation. "Everyone here really loves Miriam. I like her a lot.''

He also praised his relocation of the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which was a long-cherished idea for Adelson and her late husband.

"I moved the American embassy to Jerusalem," Trump announced. "It was supposed to cost $2 billion, but we managed to do it for $500,000, and it's probably nicer."
