TripAdvisor ranks Vegas’ dirtiest casino resorts

BitcoinCasinos.com released a list of the dirtiest casino resorts in Las Vegas on Thursday. According to the site, data analysts looked at more than 500,000 TripAdvisor.com reviews and determined which ones contained the highest proportion of impure link keywords.

These words include "filthy," "filthy," "disgusting," and everyone's least favorite word, "bug."

OYO Hotel & Casino (formerly Hooters Casino Hotel and previously Hotel San Remo) topped the list with dirty keywords removed from 28% of reviews.

One very dissatisfied OYO customer wrote of his stay in October: "The furniture in the room was old and poorly painted. Nothing had been dusted or disinfected. The carpet was full of filth. Probably never vacuumed.”

Photos posted by reviewers show cockroaches, carpet stains and dirty vents.

Despite poor cleanliness ratings, OYO has an overall rating of 4 out of 5 on TripAdvisor.com because it's conveniently located across from the MGM Grand and affordable. A room averages $30 per night on weekdays and $90 per night on weekends.

The only slightly worse places in second and third place were the Excalibur Hotel & Casino, with 27.2% of reviews related to poor cleanliness, and the Luxor Hotel, which had a 26.9% uncleanliness score. Both properties are owned by MGM Resorts.

BitcoinCasinos’ analysis ranked 49 Las Vegas casino resorts from dirtiest to cleanest. However, this raises questions about the approach since there are at least 66 casino resorts in Las Vegas.

The Mansion at MGM Grand proudly stands on the cleanest end of website analytics, with a dirty keyword score of just 4.1%. This was followed by another MGM Resorts property, the NoMad Las Vegas at Park MGM (4.4%), and then the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas (4.9%).

But cleaning comes at a price. According to TripAdvisor, The Mansion costs $5,000 per night for one bedroom and $7,500 for two bedrooms.

Below we’ve rounded up the 20 dirtiest rooms:
