Roland Kaiser and his wife, Silvia, ... - Traveling across the globe in a span of 16 weeks.
A handsome man wearing sunglasses and gray hair stands at the ship's railing, appearing relaxed and admiring the ocean.
Unlike his usual performances on stage, this time the camera captures a unique glimmer in his life. Together with his wife Silvia (58), Roland Kaiser realized his lifelong dream: in 16 weeks (or 111 nights), the couple sailed around the globe on the luxury cruise ship "Queen Victoria."
They have returned since April 30th. "We've resumed our regular lives," Roland Kaiser shares in an interview with BamS. He and his wife look refreshed, beaming, tanned, and still madly in love as they've been for 30 years.
"It's nice to unplug and reorganize"
They both reminisce fondly about their time away on the ship. "You rearrange your routines. Discover new normalities. It was a fantastic experience to unwind and move away from the daily grind," says Roland Kaiser. "The other passengers were from England, America, and Australia, where they had never heard of me. I traveled as a regular citizen; we met many new, friendly individuals."
Roland Kaiser and Silvia have been married for 28 years. "We didn't honeymoon initially, as Silvia was pregnant when we wed. Soon another child arrived, and we've postponed our world traveling dream. A year and a half ago, we finally planned this expedition. It was a brand-new experience for me and likely the longest I've been away from work. Guess what? I loved every single day of this adventure!"
The greatest luxury for Roland and Silvia Kaiser was: "You journey around the world and bring your bedroom and closet along. Unpack once, and then sleep in the same bed for 16 weeks." They brought 15 suitcases. "We split them evenly," claims Silvia Kaiser. Her husband laughs, "That's not true, of course. Far from being half-and-half."
On one occasion, the captain invited her to the bridge. Roland Kaiser: "I got to play the ship's horn for the captain's traditional noon-time speech."

During their trip, Roland and Silvia diligently dispatched photos to the family chat on WhatsApp. They had a creative idea for their grandchildren: they provided them with the children's book "Felix - a rabbit on a trip around the world" so the kids could track the journey of their grandparents. Inside their luggage, Roland and Silvia carried a small Felix stuffed bunny, which featured in many of their vacation pictures. To summarize: a dream fulfilled.
