Eintracht coach discloses: - Trapp's reaction to not being included in the European Championship squad
Dortmund's defender, Mats Hummels (35), sarcastically responded to his non-inclusion, while Bayern's midfielder, Leon Goretzka (29), showed deep despair. Kevin Trapp (33) also felt the disappointment of being left out by national coach, Julian Nagelsmann, but this wasn't entirely surprising since he was also left out of the international matches in March. Toppmöller, their coach, acknowledged this, saying, "The most disappointed moment was after the last nomination, so it was somewhat anticipated."
However, the coach is not needed to console Trapp as he's had to face many ups and downs in his career and has always handled them well. Toppmöller observed, "He's had his fair share of victories and some low points that involved bitter defeats and personal setbacks. He has the required strength and experience to handle such predicaments." Moreover, Trapp doesn't seem to need any emotional support.
