The trainer seeks to modify the situation. - Transformation through Seoane.
He's really pondering over his entire approach to coaching!
Seoane: "We've got some work to do, we dropped a lot of leads and lost points because of it. We're also wondering if we need to adjust our coaching strategies, like setting different stimuli or trying new types of training. We might need to talk to the players differently as well."
Seoane's big change
The coach realizes that the team's current defensive playstyle can't stay the same - fans don't want to see that in Gladbach. They want exciting soccer, not struggling to score with less than 1.0 expected goals per game.
But it's uncertain if Seoane will conclude that he's not the right person for Gladbach after his thorough evaluation - the club wants him to be part of the solution. That's what manager Roland Virkus (57) wants at least.

There were some bright spots too
Still, Seoane also acknowledges some positive aspects of his time with the team: "We scored a ton of goals, many from set pieces. Young players got a lot of playing time and improved."
Yet, the team's constant battle in the relegation zone and numerous injuries halted any chance of more attractive soccer: "Our play style was always influenced by our standing in the league. Now, it's about striking a balance between that and deciding what kind of soccer we want to represent."
Gladbach has always been associated with bold, attacking, and exciting soccer, and the new Seoane must figure out how to bring that back as soon as possible.
