He accidentally fell while showering. - Train bassist Charlie Colin (58) passes away

An American musician's mom revealed to news site TMZ that her son passed away tragically in the shower while taking care of a friend's house in Brussels. The exact timing of his death is uncertain, but she added that his friends discovered his body after they had returned from a vacation a week ago.

The musician was a founding member of Train, a band that formed in the '90s with bandmates Pat Monahan (55), Rob Hotchkiss (64), Jimmy Stafford (60), and Scott Underwood. Their debut album "Train" in 1998 propelled them to fame, winning them two Grammys in 2002; with "Drops of Jupiter" and "Hey, Soul Sister" being their most popular songs.

Colin unfortunately parted ways with Train in 2003 due to various reasons, one of them being alleged substance abuse issues. In an interview on the "Delphine's Circle" podcast last year, he explained: "There were a lot of things that led me to leaving, but it really escalated. We never took a break; we just never stopped. It's one of those things where you feel like it's too good to be true."

In 2009 when "Hey, Soul Sister" was released, Colin had already left the band. He had been living in Brussels more recently, teaching music at a conservatory and working in a studio. His mother revealed that he had also been working on the music for a movie.

Colin's last post on Instagram was for Mother's Day on May 12, dedicating a touching photo and loving words to his mother, declaring her as "the most beautiful, intelligent woman."

The musician never stopped doing what he loved, but a shower accident sadly took him away.
