Tragic incident in Berlin involving a female poker player (23) shot and killed.

During a fiery dispute over a lost poker round in a Berlin cafe, a 23-year-old woman from Bosnia-Herzegovina was gunned down, while a 39-year-old man sustained severe injuries. Eyewitnesses claimed that the players had engaged in a vicious fight with baseball bats, axes, and hammers.

This harrowing incident unfolded at Cafe 63 on Prinzenallee, Berlin-Gesundbrunnen. The bar, which bore resemblance to a makeshift gambling parlor, according to locals. Rumors circulated about frequent gambling activities taking place here, including slot machines, darts, and poker tournaments. The late-night party got out of hand around 3 AM. A bet gone wrong ignited a heated exchange that soon spiraled into a chaotic melee.

Eyewitness accounts described bats, axes, and hammers being wielded suddenly. The all-out brawl spread onto the street in front of the cafe. The deadly shots were fired there. A neighbor recounted witnessing the young woman accidentally getting shot and subsequently collapsing.

The injured man was discovered on the walkway where the perpetrators had discarded any potential weapons. The woman was quickly transported to the Berlin Charite hospital, but succumbed to her life-threatening wounds. Meanwhile, the 39-year-old man found inside the cafe sat drenched in blood and is now out of danger.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the perpetrators remain at large. Initial reports speculate that five men were present during the game of poker. They allegedly fled from a nearby supermarket parking lot in a black limousine and a white car.

The ties between the victims and the attackers remain elusive. The precise course of events is also shrouded in mystery. The local police formed a murder commission to investigate, examining footage from numerous cameras stationed outside the cafe.

Rumors abound, with N-TV alluding to possible connections within the rocker scene, albeit unconfirmed by authorities. The Bild-Zeitung citing the possibility that the woman was shot by her own father.

Cafe 63 and its vicinity have long been of interest to law enforcement due to its criminal activity. In October 2017, a 50-year-old man fatally shot a 30-year-old man multiple times, resulting in grave injuries. Since July, the neighborhood has experienced further violence, with random shootings targeting several restaurants, all linked to the Berlin rocker scene.

The involvement of the gambling scene in these incidents has been publicly known since the arrests in Saxony back in May. The current case promises to present a unique angle.
