At the moment, not fit for living. - Tractor collides with detached home.
At around 3 pm on Thursday in the town of Libštát (near Liberec), a bizarre and rather unpleasant accident occurred. For unknown reasons, a tractor driver and his fully loaded trailer veered off the road at a bend, crashing straight through the wall of a house. The driver suffered severe injuries and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Fortunately, there was no one home in the damaged house at the time of the accident, as reported by a spokesperson from the fire department. They promptly secured the broken wall, turned off the power, and called in a structural engineer to evaluate the situation.
To recover the tractor involved in the accident, the fire department used one of their specialized vehicles. The police confirmed that the driver had no alcohol or drugs in his system.
Upon the recommendations of the structural engineer, the fire department first stabilized the house before starting the removal process. They first removed the trailer from the scene, followed by the tractor. Finally, the outer wall of the damaged house was made safe. This information was shared by the fire department on their X platform (formerly Twitter).
