Abruptly, flames engulfed the garage. - Torched wild plants using a gas flame

Celle, Lower Saxony - During a fire training exercise, emergency responders were suddenly called to handle a real emergency.

The rescuers successfully put out the fire and donned their breathing equipment to enter the entirely smoke-filled garage, searching for and extinguishing the last remnants of flames.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a gardener attempted to burn off weeds using a gas burner. Unfortunately, due to the unusually dry summer weather, the grass and shrubs caught fire immediately.

The lawnmowers housed in the garage sustained substantial damage. The extent of the damage has yet to be determined. Approximately 60 firefighters responded to the scene.

The shed was also severely damaged by the flaming attempts
