Other players to watch include Zach Charbonnet from the Seattle Seahawks, Kendre Miller from the New Orleans Saints, and Tank Bigsby from the Jacksonville Jaguars. In dynasty and keeper leagues, rookie running backs can provide long-term value, as you're drafting for more than just the upcoming season.
Don't shy away from taking a chance on a rookie in the later rounds of your draft. Players such as Tyjae Spears (Tennessee Titans), Devon Achane (Miami Dolphins), DeWayne McBride (Minnesota Vikings), Evan Hull (Indianapolis Colts), Roschon Johnson (Chicago Bears), and Deuce Vaughn (Dallas Cowboys) also deserve your attention.
Bijan Robinson (Falcons)
Selected as the first running back in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons, Bijan Robinson is an exciting prospect with a lot to offer. Coming from Arizona, Robinson is a high school legend, having amassed 7,036 rushing yards and 114 touchdowns during his career.
Robinson was a standout at the University of Texas, where he earned All-American honors and won the Doak Walker Award. In his final season with the Longhorns, he rushed 288 times for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns, averaging 6.1 yards per carry, and boasting a 78-yard touchdown against UTSA. Additionally, he racked up 19 receptions for 314 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
With one of the NFL's strongest offensive lines supporting him, Robinson is positioned for a successful NFL career. As such, he's ranked #4 on Draft Sharks, #4 in ESPN fantasy football PPR leagues, and #7 overall on ESPN for all fantasy players. He's also the favorite to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, with odds of +275 from DraftKings.

Jahmyr Gibbs (Lions)
The Detroit Lions drafted Gibbs as the 12th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Gibbs is expected to form a formidable duo with veteran David Montgomery, who also enjoyed a strong season last year.
Jahmyr Gibbs was a multisport legend in Georgia and a standout player at Georgia Tech, where he played football and excelled as a kick returner. He then transferred to Alabama, where he ran 151 times for 926 yards in his first season, while also contributing with 44 receptions for 444 yards and three touchdowns.
Gibbs has received high praise from his head coach, Dan Campbell, comparing him to Alvin Kamara and Tiki Barber. The Lions have high expectations for the upcoming season, and Gibbs' potential is central to their plans.
Zach Charbonnet (Seahawks), Kendre Miller (Saints), and Tank Bigsby (Jaguars)
The Seattle Seahawks picked Zach Charbonnet with the 52nd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Charbonnet played for Michigan and UCLA in college, seeing action in 22 games and accumulating over 3,000 combined yards from scrimmage and scoring 27 touchdowns.
Charbonnet is currently the second-string running back for the Seahawks behind Kenneth Walker III.
The Saints are excited about Kendre Miller, their third-round selection from TCU. However, he's set to miss the remainder of the preseason due to a sprained knee, so his status on the depth chart is currently between Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams.
One equally intriguing name is Tank Bigsby, whose real name is Cartavious Bigsby. He gained his nickname from his mother, who saw the way he hit people when he played football as a child, and proclaimed, "You run the ball like a tank." Now, he's a professional football player with lots of potential.
The Jacksonville Jaguars chose Bigsby as their third-round draft pick from Auburn, where he was a starter for three years. Bigsby earned the SEC Freshman of the Year title in 2020 when he averaged 6.0 yards per carry. During his second year, he accumulated 1,099 rushing yards and scored ten touchdowns in 13 games. In the previous season, he managed a total of 1,150 yards from scrimmage and found the end zone ten times in only twelve games.
Currently, Bigsby is behind Travis Etienne on the Jaguars' depth chart.
