Rome condemns a hacker's attack. - Today, Bayer Leverkusen aims to move past their past trauma.

The 2023 semi-final loss to Roma left a lasting impression. Bayer 04 drew 0-0 in the second leg and got knocked out after a 1-0 defeat in Rome.

"We experienced a lot of pain last year. I saw fans shedding tears. It was extremely difficult for us. Now it's our turn to make amends, after the great support we've received from fans this season, by bringing them the joy they were missing last year," expressed star defender Edmond Tapsoba (25).

With the second leg set to kick off on Thursday (9pm/live in our ticker), Leverkusen is in a strong position to advance: They defeated Roma 2-0 in the first leg.

"We can't dwell too much on the fact that it's 2-0," Tapsoba advised. "We need to treat this as a regular 0-0 game and focus on controlling the match while playing our preferred style. That's essentially the key to our third European final as a club."
