A 39-year-old person drove on the B236 route en route to Finnentrop with four others. Close to Neukamp, he unintentionally drifted into opposing traffic, causing a crash with a 64-year-old woman's car that carried three occupants.
Suffering from significant damage in the five-figured euro range, both vehicles had to be removed by local tow businesses. The crash site also damaged a crash barrier.
Sustaining superficial injuries, four people involved were moved to nearby hospitals for more care. Authorities are still probing the cause of the accident.
