Famous singer attends movie debut. - Those who give 1111 euros can participate in the Carpendale musical event.
The Musikalische Komödie is presenting an additional part in the musical "Hello! Again?" which includes hit songs by Howie ("Hello again," "Ti amo"). The iconic musician will be attending the premiere on November 2 in Leipzig as a special guest, taking a seat in the front row.
The director is Thomas Hermanns (61, "Quatsch Comedy Club"). He's putting on this jukebox musical, ensuring no great tune from "Howie's" almost 50-year career is left out.
This role can be performed either at the Leipzig premiere or during one of the ongoing shows. It's part of the crowdfunding project "99 Sparks" together with Sparkasse Leipzig, aiming to restore the theater's façade figures. When the 1912 building in Dreilindenstraße was rebuilt in 1952, eight Greek-style figures got removed and never recovered.
A role for 1111 Euros
By adding 1111 Euros, you can participate in the production, whereas less significant amounts give you the chance to dance with ballet pros, join a conducting workshop, or acquire a poster from the cast (33 Euros). Nearly 34,000 Euros have already been collected, with another 56,000 Euros still to go. The campaign will still run for approximately 58 more days.
Rehearsals will commence in December following the seasonal intermission. Theatre Director Torsten Rose: "Definitely, you need to put some time in." However, it's not a requirement to sing along.
The specific duties as a guest performer will be arranged with the donor, says Rose: "It depends on the person's abilities. No one needs to do anything they're not comfortable with."
The primary thing to keep in mind is to be prompt: This unique role is just allocated once.
