On a particular Thursday, chaos erupted at a specific location. This incident involved several groups fighting each other for hours.
A resident nearby provided an account: "Several nationalities got involved, including Germans. However, it was not just a case of immigrants clashing with locals; there were also Chechens fighting with each other. One of them suffered a blow to the head from a bottle and required medical attention. There were even knives present, but the individuals carrying them had fled the scene."
This incident occurred after a party at the "Aloha" beach bar, and the grassy area surrounding it was filled with people who had brought their drinks. There are still multiple empty bottles scattered around two days later.
Thomas (55) went for a bike ride and happened to be at the location on Thursday: "There was nothing noticeable at the bar where I was partying. I only saw numerous police vehicles nearby. The law enforcement officials were conversing with some young people dressed in black. They were German."
Aram (61), a photographer, sat on a bench by the waterfront. He shared his insights: "50 years prior, there was a pub in this area frequented by Algerian guest workers during GDR times. Back then, there were violent confrontations as well. They were simply young men. Sundays, alcohol consumption, everyone drunk at the same time. This conflict was similar to one village fighting against another, irrespective of the presence of foreigners. A riot can be organized quickly, and it results in significant physical harm, stalking, and boredom due to high levels of unemployment."
