Schedule leading up to the European Championship kickoff - These spouses of players are residing in the DFB Hotel currently.
At 1 pm today, national coach Julian Nagelsmann (36) will conduct a press conference, indicating the start of the countdown to our home Euro. Only 18 days remain until Germany commences the Euro 2024 with a match against Scotland in Munich (9 pm).
Additionally, the first public training of the DFB team will occur today at 4:30 pm at the Carl-Zeiss Jena training ground. The attendance of 15,000 spectators is predicted. These tickets were sold out in under an hour. Furthermore, the training will be live-streamed on the respective DFB channels on YouTube and Twitch.
Owing to the need to give the stars ample time to arrive and recuperate from injuries, training will only be held once a day from Tuesday to Friday.
DFB: Federal President Steinmeier to Attend
A motivating factor has been announced for Wednesday. Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (68) will visit the national team at their hotel 16 days prior to the opening match, encouraging them for the event taking place in their native land.
Additionally, it is anticipated that Florian Wirtz (21), Jonathan Tah (28), and Robert Andrich (29) will arrive on Wednesday. All three players from Leverkusen had a successful weekend, winning the cup and shield. At the outset of the week, Ilkay Gündogan (33) and Marc-André ter Stegen (32) are also expected to join the team. They played the final LaLiga game with Barcelona against Sevilla on Sunday night.
Seven days before the tournament's beginning, on Friday, the national team will travel to Herzogenaurach, where they will set up their base on the Adidas training ground to hone their skills.
Nagelsmann must submit the final Euro squad to UEFA by the end of the night on June 7th during the test match against Greece in Cologne (8:45 pm). One more player must be omitted from the 27 chosen. Susceptible players for removal: center-back Robin Koch (27) and winger Max Beier (21). However, late nominations are still possible if a player sustains an injury. Only until 24 hours before the initial group game is this possible!
Sunday, June 9th, is the day when the team will reconvene in Herzogenaurach. There are currently five days remaining until the Euro begins. On Thursday, June 13th, the DFB team will voyage to Munich. There, the final press conference will be held, along with the last training in Herzogenaurach. On Friday, the game will commence at 9 pm.
