Culcha Candela and ATC are featured in the news. - The welcome ceremony for Bayer's champions
This season, there have been two champion's parties in Leverkusen - one after a 5:0 win over Bremen, followed by a pitch invasion, and another one for the Champions Cup Day last week. The third celebration of Bayer is on Sunday. Both the fans and the team will gather at BayArena to celebrate their successful season together, ideally with the DFB Cup in their possession.
The theme of the party is "Coming Home." Fans were quick to grab the limited tickets for the event. Those without tickets can still follow the celebration on a large screen placed near the stilt freeway.
The schedule for the champion's welcome is as follows:
The team will arrive in Cologne/Bonn around 1:30 PM. They will then head to Morsbroich Palace to sign the city's Golden Book. From there, they will travel to BayArena in an open vehicle motorcade.
The event starts at 1:30 PM, although admission is an hour earlier. The fans are in for a treat with a star-studded program that includes the German reggae/hip-hop band "Culcha Candela" ("Hamma," "Monsta") and the party-pop group "Hermes House Band." Additionally, "ATC (A Touch of Class)" will perform live during the event. Every Bayer fan is familiar with their iconic hit, "Around the World (La La La La La)," which has been played a total of 78 times in the BayArena this season.
The lineup of Leverkusen musicians includes Peter Lorenz ("Bayer 04 - wir steh'n zu dir!"), Dirk Maverick ("Leverkusen"), Einmalique ("Meisterkusen"), and Departement of Rock ("Wir sind Deutscher Meister").
A word of caution for Bayer fans arriving by car: The parking area beneath the Stelzenautobahn is completely closed due to the event.
