The victim of an alleged reckless driver in Las Vegas was a popular casino croupier

A woman killed in a fatal accident earlier this month was this week identified as a gambling dealer at Palace Station Casino.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officials said 72-year-old Tinh Sequeira of Las Vegas was on her way to work when a speeding car collided with her vehicle.

She worked at the casino for 13 years, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Recently she works the night shift.

She left her Las Vegas residence at 6:30 p.m. On July 5, she was driving a 2005 Buick LeSabre.

It was just like any other night for the couple.

Tinh Sequeira hugged her husband Bob goodbye. He kissed her and told her, "I love you." The two got into the Buick. He was holding their Pomeranian Coda, one of the couple's three dogs.

Fatal Accident

But six minutes later, 22-year-old Defon Muirente was turning left onto Rancho Drive from Glen Heather Way when a car hit her car.

Her car caught fire. She suffered injuries from blunt force trauma and heat. She died about six hours later at University Hospital.

According to police, he was traveling 64 mph in a 35 mph zone. He was charged with reckless driving causing death, driving without a license and operating a vehicle with expired registration.

Muirente is scheduled to appear in court in Las Vegas on Aug. 10. He was released on bail.

Mulente's Dodge Charger was traveling north on Rancho Drive toward Glen Heather Way when the crash occurred. Glenheather Road is located north of Sahara Avenue.

There were three passengers in the Dodge at this time. Each passenger and Mulente suffered minor injuries. They were treated at University Medical Center, Las Vegas television station KLAS reported.

No message received from her

Bob Sequeira was worried the night of the accident because she didn't call him during a break at work. When he went to get the mail, he saw police at the end of her apartment.

He went to the crash site. He then recognized his wife's car.

"Oh my gosh, no, this isn't right," he recalled feeling when he saw the car, the Review-Journal reported.

Tinh Sequeira has been married to Bob Sequeira for about forty years.

“I was with her for 48 years, and I’m grateful to have spent that time with her,” Bob Sequeira told the Review-Journal.

The two met on a blind date in 1976 in Tucson, Arizona. She was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1974.

He served in the U.S. Army. They married in 1979. Moved to Las Vegas in 1990 and had a son, Robert Sequeira.

The couple has two other children, Linda Granger and Hume Thompson, from a previous marriage, the Review-Journal reported.

She loved cooking, especially Vietnamese food, and loved her family.

She was the most generous person I had ever met," added Bob Sequeira."She would make sure everything and everyone around her was taken care of and happy before she took care of herself. "
