According to his family, his movies were trailblazing and rebellious, embodying the essence of their time. When asked about how he wanted to be remembered, he humbly stated, "I was merely a movie maker."
Well-known film producer Gale Anne Hurd, famous for works like "Terminator," expressed her respect for Corman on the online platform X. She acclaimed him as "one of the greatest visionaries in film history."
Corman provided Hurd with her initial job opportunity when she was just 23 years old, as told by director Ron Howard, another celebrated name in the industry known for films such as "A Beautiful Mind." On X, Howard acknowledged Corman's contributions to the world of cinema, stating, "I am privileged to have known him."
Roger Corman hailed from Detroit, born in 1929. According to IMDB, he took part in 493 productions as a producer and directed 56 projects, such as "The Fast and the Furious" (1954), "Grand Theft Auto" (1977), and "The Cry Baby Killer" (1958), which was Jack Nicholson's big screen debut.
