Boss of Werder Bremen shows intense emotions. - The reason for Fritz's tears
Clemens Fritz (40), who's not typically a guy who cries, had tears in his eyes after the season's finale game against Bochum (4:1). Sky reporter Jens Westen caught a moment with him during an interview, and Fritz couldn't help but get emotional.
Emotions ran high due to Baumann's support
Starting July 1st, Fritz will officially take up the role of Werder's managing director. Baumann has always been there for him, offering support and sage advice. But there was also the freedom to make his own decisions. Fritz will now be stepping into his former teammate's shoes as he takes on the role of managing director.
Fritz: "Baumann was there for me, his door was always open. He was a great advisor, he always supported me...and when the time comes, I'll take over for him as managing director."
