Senior Citizen (76) Fatally Injured in Hamm - The murderer of a grandmother concealed her body in the basement for several days.

The reason behind the murderer's actions remains unknown. He most likely intended to steal from the victim. In a similar incident, just two weeks prior, on April 25th, B. assaulted an elderly woman (82) in her Hamm residence, rifled through her belongings, and caused significant harm to her. Additionally, he sometimes aided her with lawn maintenance.

Following Markus B.'s rampage down a street on a Wednesday evening, residents contacted the police. In response, officers were able to apprehend him while he was still in their patrol car. During this time, B. admitted to his involvement in the attack on the senior citizen in Hamm, as well as the murder of Inge G.

Once police arrived at the deceased pensioner's residence in Hamm, they encountered a strong odour of decay. The body of Inge G. was ultimately discovered in the cellar. It appears that the murderer had concealed her body there and had been living in the house for several days.

The exact timing of when the victim was killed is currently under investigation. The autopsy revealed that the woman had not been alive for several days.

On Wednesday Markus B. probably wanted to find a new hiding place, local residents filmed him on the street

Inge G. was well-liked in her Hamm neighbourhood, residing in the Pelkum district. "She was still quite active, often rode her bicycle into town, and worked extensively in her garden," recalls a local resident. She often chatted with neighbours she encountered as she watered her flowers.

The elderly woman lived all by herself in a spacious house. She had three grandchildren and numerous adult children who had all moved away. However, her son possessed a key to the house. Worried about his mother's whereabouts, he travelled to Hamm on Wednesday.

Markus B. had just confessed to the murder of the elderly woman. As a result, an arrest warrant for murder was issued against him on Thursday.

Her blood can still be seen on the garden gate of the 82-year-old woman who was attacked - this is how she fled to her neighbor's house
