At our local grocery stores, - The most favorable day for scoring deals is Saturday.
While Fridays boast the largest number of deals, with an average of 1784 bargains across 38 retailers nationwide, Saturdays come in second with 1756 items advertised (via Smhaggle). Additionally, many stores heavily discount fresh goods before the weekend arrives. Expect to find at least a 30% discount, and sometimes up to 80% off fruits and vegetables as they try to clear their shelves.
To deal with the overflow of old items, some stores even apply a discount from the day starting. The price tags on the shelves will reflect this.
