I'm certain it'll be enjoyable up there. - The letters of bidding by the "Untergangs" family.

October 13th, 2023: Dorothea L. (42) self-harms, leaving her daughter Elisabeth (11) critically injured. Also harms her mother-in-law (68). Commits suicide. Her husband (71) shares her fate. An unthinkable tragedy unfolds as grandma and granddaughter are dead, grandpa and Elisabeth's mother in court. The charges include causing harm to the child, killing the grandmother on request, and psychologically assisting the grandfather in causing harm.

UNCOVERING THE REASON. Shocking goodbyes are hard to comprehend. Grandpa Werner penned, "I've seen it all. Our family raised three children. They'll manage without us. All we're left with is sitting in the apartment, watching movies, playing cards, waiting for bedtime, and the same routine the next day. I don't belong in this world."

Grandma Christine wrote, "I've been battling to stay in shape for ages. I don't feel safe in our society anymore. The future seems dismal. I've used up all my energy to survive."

Mother "Doro" conveyed, "My parents are ailing and healthcare is uneasy. Society is going through transformative changes rapidly. We're walking through a world that's unbearable."

However, the most disconcerting message is from Elisabeth: a child victim of the family's religious obliviousness. "Dear Wilma," she secretly penned to her best friend, "I'm in heaven with Mom. It's no longer safe here. I know things will be better there. There are many cats around and they'll get so many presents. I'll be waiting for you there. Once we're reunited, we can stay together forever."

There was another note found on the dining table, seemingly drafted by adults. It reads, "My mom, my grandmother, and my grandpa are what matter most to me. They've always protected me and made my life as fantastic as possible. Grandma is sick, Grandpa is old, Mom is drained and exhausted. I couldn't live without them and I'm going with them willingly because we're a team."

11-year-old Elisabeth, known as "Eli," had fiery red tresses. Her mother dyed them black, allegedly for protection. On her 12th birthday, she was on the autopsy table. Verdict on June 14th.
