Crucial moments in the BBL!
Making it to the playoffs
After the regular season, six teams have made it directly to the playoffs:
- FC Bayern Basketball
- Alba Berlin
- NINERS Chemnitz
- ratiopharm Ulm
- Würzburg Baskets
- SC Rasta Vechta
To keep things spicy, play-in games have been introduced this season, similar to the NBA. The teams from 1st to 6th place are locked in and good to go for the playoffs. Meanwhile, the next two playoff spots will be determined by the teams in positions 7th to 10th in a series of mind-blowing matches.
The first two play-in battles go like this:

- 7th vs 8th - Telekom Baskets Bonn vs MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg - ends with a score of 90:69 in favor of Bonn
- 9th vs 10th - EWE Baskets Oldenburg vs Veolia Towers Hamburg - Hamburg Towers takes it with a score of 81:93
NINERS Chemnitz - RASTA Vechta
Losers of these two games will face off for the final spot in the BBL playoffs. The team that triumphs in this game will join the playoff reserves.
