The World Series of Poker (WSOP) commences on May 28th in Las Vegas. Spanning across seven weeks, this event houses 99 tournaments and has a total prize pool of over 100 million euros. The ultimate aim of every poker enthusiast is to secure one of the highly-coveted gold bracelets. Its pièce de résistance: The Main Event! In 2023, victor Daniel Weinmann received over 10 million euros in prize money.
Las Vegas' Thrilling Poker Summers Are Kicking Off!
This time around, the Champions Tournament initiates the action. The player who eliminates a past Main Event champion in this contest gets a direct entry into the main tournament. The participation fee is $5,000. Nonetheless, it's not just No Limit Hold'em that's on the table, but also unique formats such as Omaha, Badugi, and 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw. There's something for everyone.
The most costly event is the $250,000 Super High Roller Tournament. This is where only the crème de la crème of poker players compete. The victor receives more than 5 million euros in prize money. The most inexpensive tournament is the Colossus Event, where anyone can participate for 400 dollars.
GGPoker Ambassador and six-time bracelet holder Daniel Negreanu (49): "Last year, 774 players successfully qualified for GGPoker's 'Road to Vegas' and pocketed over five million dollars. This year, we aim to send at least 1,000 players to Vegas to live their poker fantasy."
