Authorities expel anti-Semitic individuals. - The hall of disgrace
In Neukölln district on a Saturday night, supporters of Palestine gathered for a protest with the message "No More Arms to Israel." Initially, the event was calm, but things took a turn when people started shouting anti-Israel slogans.
That marked the start of chaos: around 10 p.m., pro-Palestinian and far-left-leaning youths convened at Sonnenallee/Reuterstraße. They kept chanting derogatory remarks about Israel.
As the police attempted to disperse this unapproved gathering, around 50 to 100 individuals refused to let Neukölln settle down.
By 11 p.m., this mob started constructing barricades and hurling firecrackers. Young men and women dragged barriers from construction sites, e-scooters, bikes, bicycle racks, and trash cans into the street, blocking access on Karl-Marx-Straße.
A large force of Berlin law enforcement officers was eventually successful in detaining some of these rioters; however, they were met with bottles, firecrackers, and stones.
Eventually, tranquility returned to Neukölln around midnight, and many arrests were made.
The police are now probing serious disturbance of the peace, attempted grievous injury, property damage, and violation of assembly regulations. It remains uncertain if any police officers were harmed during the incident.
